CASE STUDIES

The Association of Old Crows

The Association of Old Crows (AOC) has a highly niche audience that works in extremely technical fields within the defense industry. Communicating effectively with their small but global network through traditional channels like social media and email newsletters is effective but impersonal, so they wanted a way to create a greater sense of community among their members and within their industry. As a non-profit organization, AOC needed a mechanism that would pay for itself and, if possible, be revenue-positive.

The One Country Project

While serving as a United States Senator from North Dakota, Heidi Heitkamp began hosting the Hot Dish podcast to keep her colleagues informed about the issues that mattered most to rural Americans. In 2019, the podcast became part of her efforts through the One Country Project.

Heitkamp’s busy schedule and the various responsibilities of the One Country Project staff resulted in an inconsistent podcast production schedule and low listenership. The group contacted Voxtopica to seek a better way to make and distribute the show.
